About Joshua Logan

When I started taking Broadcasting in my sophomore year of high school, I knew I wanted to be on camera, so I could read lines creatively and entertain my audience. I played a key part in my school’s newscast every day, because I brought energy and drew the viewers’ attention to get them excited about sports. I became more involved and wanted to do more outside of school.

I further developed my skills by attending summer workshops at Indiana University, Ball State University, and Franklin College to advance the next level of broadcasting. At these media camps, I would attend lectures that were out of my zone of expertise to learn as much as I could. From that, I have grown into an experienced media student, to the point where I can teach others, which has become my passion.

My high school experience on camera was very impactful, as we proved how important our media program was by winning several awards, including a national award that I was involved in. We were inducted into the High School Broadcast Hall of Fame, and have started to be recognized on a national level. I was also inducted into the Media Honors Program, Quill and Scroll, for dedication to the media program and the trust that I have built with my instructors.

I was proud to be a part of HSE and all it had to offer me. I played football and rugby for the school, I was part of Blue Crew, the sprit club of my high school. With this group, I attended as many sporting events as I could when I was not scheduled for broadcast. I am also a certified lifeguard and work with the City of Fishers, a server at the Livery Restaurant, and a security guard for Ruoff Music Center.

One day, I hope to use these skills to make connections with people in the media industry. I want to travel, work out of my comfort zone, communicate with a diversity of people, and continue my passion on camera.
